Miles Overview
The DeVille is Cadillac's big front-drive luxury sedan, the car people cross-shopped with Lincoln's Town Car back in 1999. It's a big car that rides like a cloud, but it handles better than you'd expect for something this size, with light steering that makes it easy to maneuver. The interior is genuinely spacious, with broad, supportive seats and a back seat that fits three adults comfortably, plus a huge trunk. Owners mention the Northstar's cooling system and seals can be trouble spots, and repairs tend to be pricey, so find a mechanic who knows these cars. The D'Elegance sits above the base DeVille and below the Concours, adding leather seating, wood interior trim, and a more luxurious feel. Under the hood is a 4.6L V8 paired with an automatic transmission driving the front wheels, good for 15 mpg city in town and 24 mpg highway on the highway. The D'Elegance came with standard chrome wheels and a premium Bose sound system, giving it a noticeably upscale feel over the base car.
