Miles Overview
The 1989 DeVille is a full-size, front-wheel-drive sedan that was Cadillac's best-selling model, aimed at buyers who wanted a big, comfortable cruiser. The ride is the star here; it floats over bumps and feels like coasting in butter, with plush seats that make long trips effortless. Inside, there's generous room for five adults, a huge trunk, and a futuristic digital dashboard that still turns heads. It's a big car with a big appetite for gas, and the size can make parking a chore in tight spots. The DeVille is the volume model in Cadillac's 1989 lineup, offering the same big ride and V8 power as the pricier Fleetwood without the extra chrome and cost. A fuel-injected 4.5L V8 paired with a smooth automatic transmission gives it the effortless, lazy torque you expect from a Cadillac, though 18 mpg combined means you'll be visiting the pump often.
