Miles Overview
The ATS is Cadillac's compact sport sedan and coupe, aimed squarely at the BMW 3 Series and Audi A4. It's one of the sharpest-handling cars in its class, with quick steering and a balanced chassis that make back roads a joy. The cabin looks modern and upscale, but the back seat is tight and the CUE touchscreen system can be frustrating to use. Some owners report front-end scraping on steep driveways and occasional glitches like a trunk that won't open. The Luxury sits above the Turbo and Turbo Luxury trims, trading some of their turbo punch for the smooth, naturally aspirated 2.5L I4. With the 2.5L I4 and eight-speed automatic, this ATS is rear-wheel drive and returns 26 mpg combined. This trim's standard leather seats and upgraded audio are nice, but the base 2.5L engine feels less eager than the turbo in the trims below.
