Miles Overview
The Lucerne is Buick's full-size sedan for 2009, a front-drive four-door that competes with the Toyota Avalon and Chrysler 300. It's a relaxed cruiser that glides over pavement, though it does lean a bit in quick corners. The cabin is genuinely roomy, with a wide bench up front that lets three people sit across, and the trunk is generous. Some owners mention the wide turning radius and sizable blind spots, so give yourself extra room when parking or changing lanes. The CX is the entry-level Lucerne, so you skip the CXL's leather and power seats but save a few thousand dollars. Its 3.9L V6 makes 227 horsepower and pairs with a four-speed automatic, giving easy highway merging and an EPA-rated 21 mpg combined.
