Miles Overview
The 2000 Corvette is Chevrolet's flagship two-seat sports car, offered as a coupe or convertible. The cabin is snug and driver-focused, though the interior materials feel dated and cheap by modern standards. Some owners mention electrical gremlins and failing pop-up headlights on early C5s, so check those before buying. Its 5.7L V8 makes 345 horsepower and 350 lb-ft of torque, sent through a six-speed manual or four-speed automatic to the rear wheels. The base coupe's fixed roof makes it the stiffest C5 chassis, which pays off in sharper turn-in and less cowl shake over rough pavement.
