Miles Overview
This is the fourth-generation Corvette, Chevrolet's flagship sports car, sold as a two-seat coupe with a fiberglass body. It's a proper driver's car, with sharp steering and a firm, planted ride that makes it feel at home on twisty roads. The cabin is snug and low, and getting in and out takes a bit of a routine, but the seats are supportive once you're settled. Expect some electrical gremlins and a dash that can crack in heat, plus slow window motors that may need replacing. This Corvette comes as a single trim for 1985, so you get the full sports-car experience without any lesser version to compare it to. Its 5.7L V8 makes enough torque to squirt out of corners with authority, and the four-speed automatic shifts smoothly. The optional Z51 performance package stiffens the suspension and quickens the steering for sharper track-day capability.
