2017 Chevrolet Corvette Z06

The Corvette is Chevrolet's flagship sports car, offered as a coupe or convertible with a choice of trims from the Stingray to the track-focused Z06. It's a seriously quick machine, with the base Stingray already feeling rapid and the Z06 bordering on overwhelming for most roads. The ride is firm, and the low stance means getting in and out takes some effort, but once you're settled it's surprisingly livable for a supercar-adjacent two-seater. Cargo space is minimal, so plan on a weekend bag at most, and the cabin is snug for two. Its 6.2L V8 makes 650 horsepower and the seven-speed manual lets you row through the gears yourself, though you'll pay at the pump with 18 mpg combined. The Z06's available Z07 package adds carbon-ceramic brakes and stickier tires, making it a handful on the road but devastating on track.
