2023 Chevrolet Corvette Z06

The 2023 Corvette is Chevrolet's mid-engine sports car, offered as a coupe or convertible with the Stingray and track-focused Z06. It competes with the Porsche 911, Audi R8, and Nissan GT-R, but undercuts them on price while matching their performance. The mid-engine layout gives it razor-sharp turn-in and tenacious grip, yet the ride stays composed enough for daily use. The cabin is driver-focused with a high center console, and the front trunk adds useful cargo space for a weekend bag. Stepping up to the Z06 from the Stingray swaps the 6.2-liter V8 for the flat-plane-crank 5.5L V8 that revs to 8600 rpm, and adds a wider body, track-tuned suspension, and larger brakes. The 5.5L V8 makes 670 horsepower and 460 lb-ft of torque, paired with an eight-speed automatic and rear-wheel drive; it hits 60 mph in the low 2-second range and pulls hard all the way to redline. The Z07 package adds carbon-fiber aero, Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 R tires, and carbon-ceramic brakes for even sharper track performance, but the ride gets firmer as a trade.
