The Corvette is Chevrolet's flagship sports car, offered as a coupe or convertible with a choice of trims from the Stingray to the track-focused Z06. It's a seriously quick machine, with the base Stingray already feeling rapid and the Z06 bordering on overwhelming for most roads. The ride is firm, and the low stance means getting in and out takes some effort, but once you're settled it's surprisingly livable for a supercar-adjacent two-seater. Cargo space is minimal, so plan on a weekend bag at most, and the cabin is snug for two. The Stingray coupe is the Corvette you get when you want the 6.2L V8 and the seven-speed manual without the Z51's extra cooling or the Grand Sport's wider tires. That 6.2L V8 sends 455 horsepower to the rear wheels through a seven-speed manual, and the long gearing means you can row through the gears without constantly shifting. Skip the Z51 package and you get a slightly softer suspension, which makes the Stingray a more relaxed cruiser on rough pavement than the track-ready versions.
