Miles Overview
Around town it feels quick and smooth off the line, and the electric range covers most daily commutes before the gas engine ever kicks in. The cabin fits four adults comfortably, though the rear center seat is cramped and visibility out the back is limited. Owners report the Volt is reliable overall, with occasional glitches like Bluetooth connection issues and a sensitive charging cable. Its plug-in hybrid pairs a 1.5L I4 plug-in hybrid with an electric motor, sending 149 horsepower and 294 lb-ft of torque through a continuously variable automatic (CVT) to the front wheels, and it's rated at 42 mpg combined.
