Miles Overview
The 2016 Sonic is Chevrolet's subcompact, offered as a hatchback or sedan. It's nimble and easy to park, with a ride that's firm but composed on the highway. The front seats are roomier than you'd expect, though rear legroom is tight for adults. The touchscreen radio with Bluetooth is a highlight, and remote start is a nice bonus. The 1.8L I4 makes 138 horsepower and 125 lb-ft of torque, paired with a five-speed manual and front-wheel drive, good for 30 mpg combined. Expect a firm ride and some road noise on the highway, the trade for the LS's low price.
