Miles Overview
The Cobalt is Chevrolet's compact sedan and coupe, the car you cross-shopped against the Civic and Corolla back then. It's a light, tossable little car, and the Sport trim's stronger engine makes it genuinely fun on a back road. The cabin is plain and hard-plastic, but the trunk is surprisingly roomy for the size and the front seats are comfortable. Owners mention the ignition recall and some electrical gremlins, so it's worth checking those were handled. The LS is the base Cobalt, so you skip the LT's upgrades and the Sport's extra power, but you still get the same 2.2L four-cylinder. Its 2.2L I4 makes 170 horsepower and pairs with a five-speed automatic, which is enough to keep up in traffic and returns 27 mpg combined.
