Miles Overview
The Impala is Chevrolet's full-size sedan, the roomiest car in their lineup and a natural rival to the Toyota Avalon and Ford Taurus. It's a comfortable highway cruiser, with a smooth ride and a quiet cabin that makes long trips easy. The cabin is genuinely spacious, with a huge trunk and plenty of room for five adults. Some owners have mentioned a recall for tail light seals that can let moisture into the trunk, but the fix is straightforward. Stepping up to the LTZ from the LT adds leather upholstery, heated and ventilated front seats, and a premium Bose audio system. Its 3.6L V6 makes 305 horsepower and 264 lb-ft of torque, routed through a six-speed automatic to the front wheels, and it returns 22 mpg combined.
