Miles Overview
The 2016 Transit is Ford's full-size van, offered as a cargo van or passenger wagon with three roof heights and two wheelbases. It competes with the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter, Ram ProMaster, and Nissan NV in the commercial van segment. The Transit drives with a car-like steering feel for a van its size, and the turbocharged engines make it surprisingly quick when empty. The cabin is practical and functional, with a tall seating position, good visibility, and plenty of storage for work gear. Cargo space is generous across all roof heights, and the rear doors open wide for easy loading of bulky items. The SRW Medium Roof Van is the middle-roof option, giving you enough headroom to stand inside without the height of the high-roof version. Its 3.2L I5 makes 185 horsepower and pairs with a automatic transmission and rear-wheel drive, which is fine for city deliveries but feels strained on the highway.
