Miles Overview
The 2020 Transit is Ford's full-size van, offered as a cargo van, passenger wagon, and chassis cab, with three roof heights and two wheelbases. It squares off against the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter, Ram ProMaster, and Nissan NV in the commercial van segment. The Transit drives with the composed feel of a much smaller vehicle, and the available all-wheel drive adds confidence on slippery surfaces. With its tall roof options and long wheelbase, the Transit offers class-leading cargo space and the ability to stand upright inside. Standard Ford Co-Pilot360 includes automatic emergency braking, and the available SYNC 3 infotainment brings Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Stepping up from the low roof adds the mid-height roof, which still lets you stand inside but keeps a lower profile than the high roof for easier parking. The 3.5L V6 makes 275 horsepower and pairs with the automatic transmission and all-wheel drive, giving you confident traction in rain or snow without sacrificing payload. Expect 16 mpg combined fuel economy, which is typical for a full-size van, but the all-wheel drive is the reason to pick this over the rear-drive versions.
