Miles Overview
The 2019 Transit is Ford's full-size work van, offered in cargo and passenger configurations with multiple roof heights and wheelbases. It competes with the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter, Ram ProMaster, and Nissan NV in the commercial van segment. The Transit drives with a solid, planted feel for a large van, and the available all-wheel drive adds confidence in slippery conditions. Cargo space is vast, and the low load floor and wide rear doors make loading and unloading straightforward. Available tech includes Ford's Sync infotainment, a rearview camera, and driver aids like blind-spot monitoring and lane-keeping assist. The XLT is the mid-range trim for the Transit, adding more comfort features than the XL while still keeping costs in check for fleet buyers. It rides on rear-wheel drive with a leaf-spring rear suspension, so expect a firm ride when empty but stable handling under load.
