Miles Overview
The 2019 Transit is Ford's full-size work van, offered in cargo and passenger configurations with multiple roof heights and wheelbases. It competes with the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter, Ram ProMaster, and Nissan NV in the commercial van segment. The Transit drives with a solid, planted feel for a large van, and the available all-wheel drive adds confidence in slippery conditions. Cargo space is vast, and the low load floor and wide rear doors make loading and unloading straightforward. Available tech includes Ford's Sync infotainment, a rearview camera, and driver aids like blind-spot monitoring and lane-keeping assist. The XL is the base trim, so you skip the XLT's extra comfort features and higher-output engine options, but you save on the upfront cost. Under the hood is a 3.7L V6 making 275 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque, routed through a six-speed automatic to the rear wheels, and it's rated at 15 mpg combined.
