Miles Overview
The Super Duty is Ford's heavy-duty pickup, the one you buy when you need to tow or haul serious loads. It competes with the Chevy Silverado HD and Ram 2500/3500, and it's the truck many contractors and ranchers swear by. It drives like a big truck: the steering is a bit vague and the turning circle is wide, but the brakes are strong and it tracks straight on the highway. The cabin is roomy, especially in the crew cab, and the seats are firm but supportive on long hauls. Leather seating and the upgraded audio system set the Lariat apart from the XLT and XL trims below it. The 6.0L V8 makes 325 horsepower and 350 lb-ft of torque, routed through a six-speed automatic and four-wheel drive that handle heavy loads without complaint. Expect the ride to be stiff when the bed is empty, which is the trade-off for the truck's 12,500-pound towing capacity.
