Miles Overview
The F-150 is Ford's full-size pickup, the one that sets the benchmark for the segment. It rides like a proper truck, with a sturdy feel that inspires confidence when you're hauling or towing. The cabin is roomy, with a full back seat that makes it comfortable for passengers or a quick nap. Some owners mention rust forming on the cab corners and fenders, especially in salt-belt states. The Lariat adds leather seats, a premium sound system, and power-adjustable pedals over the XLT, so it feels more like a luxury vehicle than a work truck. Its 5.4L V8 makes 260 horsepower and 293 lb-ft of torque, paired with a four-speed automatic and four-wheel drive, which gives it strong pulling power for a half-ton truck. Expect around 15 mpg combined in mixed driving, which is typical for a full-size V8 pickup from this era.
