2022 Ford Transit

The Transit is Ford's full-size work van, the one you see on every job site and delivery route. If you're also looking at a Ram ProMaster or Mercedes Sprinter, the Transit is the one that drives most like a normal vehicle. It handles surprisingly well for something this big, with a tight turning circle that makes city work easier than you'd expect. You can get it as a cargo van, a passenger wagon, or a cutaway chassis, and the tall roof option lets you stand up inside. The standard wheelbase and medium roof distinguish the XLT from the shorter low-roof and longer high-roof Transits. Its 3.5L V6 makes 275 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque, routed through a ten-speed automatic to the rear-wheel drive, which is enough to hustle a loaded van around town. The XLT trim unlocks the option for all-wheel drive, which the base Transit doesn't offer.
