Miles Overview
The F-250 Super Duty is Ford's heavy-duty pickup, the step up from the F-150 for serious towing and hauling work. If you're also looking at a Silverado 2500 or Ram 2500, this is the truck that takes the same abuse without complaint. It drives like a big truck, with a firm ride and a commanding view, and the steering feels direct for something this size. The cabin is plain and functional, with hard plastics and simple controls, but the seats are comfortable for long hauls. The XLT splits the difference between the base XL and the loaded Lariat, giving you power windows and cruise control without the leather and premium stereo. The 5.4L V8 makes 235 horsepower and pairs with an automatic transmission and four-wheel drive, which is enough grunt for heavy trailers but not the stump-pulling torque of the optional diesel.
