Miles Overview
This is Ford's heavy-duty pickup, the one you'd pick for serious towing and hauling work. It drives like a big truck, with a commanding view and a ride that's more about stability than comfort. The cab is genuinely roomy, and even the base trims keep things simple and functional. Owners report that these trucks are tough and dependable, though the fuel pump can be a recurring fix. The XL is the base work truck; you give up the XLT's power windows and cruise control, but you save money and get the same tough chassis. Its 7.3L V8 makes 215 horsepower and sends it to the rear wheels, which keeps things simple and gives you a solid platform for towing.
