Miles Overview
The 2016 F-150 is Ford's full-size pickup, facing off against the Ram 1500 and Chevrolet Silverado. The aluminum body trims hundreds of pounds, making this F-150 feel lighter and more responsive than its rivals. The cabin offers generous space, with rear seats that flip up to reveal a flat load floor for secure storage. Reliability is generally strong, though a few owners have noted minor electrical gremlins and a door-latch recall. The XL is the work-truck trim, so you get a vinyl floor and manual locks, but it also saves thousands over an XLT. Its 2.7L V6 makes 325 horsepower and pairs with a six-speed automatic and four-wheel drive, which is enough grunt for daily hauling without the thirst of the V8.
