Miles Overview
The 2016 F-150 is Ford's full-size pickup, facing off against the Ram 1500 and Chevrolet Silverado. The aluminum body trims hundreds of pounds, making this F-150 feel lighter and more responsive than its rivals. The cabin offers generous space, with rear seats that flip up to reveal a flat load floor for secure storage. Reliability is generally strong, though a few owners have noted minor electrical gremlins and a door-latch recall. A vinyl floor rather than carpet and manual door locks mark the XL as the work-truck trim, but it shares F-150's aluminum body and towing ability with the pricier Lariat and Platinum. The 5.0L V8 makes 386 horsepower and pairs with an {automatic transmission}, giving this XL confident passing power even when the bed is loaded.
