Miles Overview
The 2024 Ranger is Ford's mid-size pickup, slotting between the Maverick and the F-150. It competes with the Chevrolet Colorado, GMC Canyon, and Toyota Tacoma. The Ranger drives with a composed, truck-like feel, and the Raptor adds serious off-road capability. The cabin is functional and roomy for the class, with a user-friendly infotainment system. The 3.0L V6 makes 405 horsepower and 430 lb-ft of torque, routed through a ten-speed automatic and full-time four-wheel drive with a two-speed transfer case; expect 17 mpg combined in mixed driving. The Raptor's Fox 2.5-inch Live Valve shocks and watts-link rear suspension let it soak up whoops and ruts at speed, but the ride is firm on pavement.
