2025 Ford Ranger XLT

The 2025 Ranger is Ford's mid-size pickup, slotting between the Maverick and the F-150. It competes with the Toyota Tacoma, Chevrolet Colorado, and GMC Canyon. The Ranger drives with a composed, truck-like feel, and the Raptor adds serious off-road capability. Ride comfort is decent for a pickup, though the Raptor's firmer suspension is noticeable on pavement. The cabin is functional and well-built, with available leather and a large touchscreen on higher trims. The XLT is the volume leader, adding the Sport Appearance Package and Ford Co-Pilot360 over the base XL. Its 2.3L I4 pairs with a ten-speed automatic and four-wheel drive, and it returns 22 mpg combined. The XLT is the only trim where the FX4 Off-Road Package is available, adding a terrain management system and off-road-tuned suspension.
