Miles Overview
The 2024 Ranger is Ford's mid-size pickup, slotting between the Maverick and the F-150. It competes with the Chevrolet Colorado, GMC Canyon, and Toyota Tacoma. The Ranger drives with a composed, truck-like feel, and the Raptor adds serious off-road capability. The cabin is functional and roomy for the class, with a user-friendly infotainment system. The XL is the base Ranger, so you skip the XLT's upgraded interior and tech, but you save thousands and still get the same capable chassis and drivetrain. Its rear-wheel drive and automatic transmission pair with the 2.3L I4 for a balanced mix of daily drivability and 22 mpg combined.
