Miles Overview
The 2025 Ford F-250 is a heavy-duty pickup built for serious towing and hauling, slotting above the F-150 in Ford's truck lineup. It competes with the Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD and Ram 2500 in the heavy-duty segment. The F-250 drives with the authority expected of a heavy-duty truck, though its size and weight are always apparent. Expect a firm, truck-like ride when unloaded; that stiffness is the trade-off for its substantial payload capacity. The cabin is spacious and functional, with available leather upholstery and a large touchscreen on higher trims. The XL is the base work truck of the F-250 lineup, sitting below the XLT and Lariat trims, so you get a vinyl floor and manual locks instead of carpet and power windows. Its 6.8L V8 pairs with an automatic transmission and rear-wheel drive, which keeps things simple for fleet duty or towing a trailer without the complexity of four-wheel drive.
