Miles Overview
The Explorer Sport Trac is a crew-cab pickup built on the Explorer SUV platform, blending SUV comfort with a 4-foot bed. It drives like a mid-size SUV, with a compliant ride and predictable handling that makes daily use easy. The cabin seats five with decent rear legroom, and the bed's molded plastic liner and lockable storage bins are practical touches. These trucks are known for high-mileage durability, though the timing chain tensioners and transmission cooler lines are worth checking on high-mile examples. The Sport Trac is a single trim, so you get the crew cab and four-foot bed without stepping up to a full-size truck. Its 4.0L V6 makes 207 horsepower and pairs with a automatic transmission, which moves it with adequate authority but isn't quick.
