Miles Overview
The Excursion is Ford's biggest SUV, a three-row giant built on a heavy-duty truck frame. It drives like the heavy-duty truck it is, with a commanding view and plenty of power for towing. Inside, there's room for up to nine passengers, and the rear seats fold or remove for cargo. Owners mention ignition coils and window actuators as common age-related repairs, along with the usual old-truck maintenance. Leather upholstery, power-adjustable pedals, and standard four-wheel drive mark the Limited as the top trim in the Excursion range. The 6.0L V8 makes 325 horsepower and 560 lb-ft of torque routed through a five-speed automatic and four-wheel drive, so it pulls a heavy trailer without strain. The Limited's standard tow package and heavy-duty alternator mean this truck is ready for a trailer or camper straight from the lot.
