Miles Overview
The 2020 Expedition is Ford's full-size three-row SUV, slotting above the Explorer and competing with the Chevrolet Tahoe and GMC Yukon. The Expedition accelerates with authority and tows impressively, yet it drives smaller than its size, with responsive steering. The cabin is roomy across all three rows, and the third row actually fits adults, with generous cargo space behind it. Ford's Co-Pilot360 safety suite is standard, and higher trims add a 360-degree camera, adaptive cruise control, and a hands-free liftgate. Some owners have reported sunroof leaks on earlier Expeditions, so it's worth checking the seal on any used example. Stepping up to the Platinum from the Limited adds real leather seating, a panoramic sunroof, and Ford's BlueCruise hands-free driving system. The 3.5L V6 makes 400 horsepower and 480 lb-ft of torque, giving this big SUV effortless passing power on the highway, and the ten-speed automatic shifts smoothly.
