2020 Ford Expedition MAX Limited

The Expedition MAX is Ford's biggest SUV, a three-row body-on-frame hauler that seats up to eight. It drives with the confident, planted feel of a proper truck, and the long wheelbase soaks up highway miles. The cabin is roomy and functional, with Ford's SYNC 3 infotainment and available captain's chairs for the middle row. The MAX's extra length means you get real cargo space behind the third row, so you can carry people and their stuff. Stepping up to the Limited from the XLT adds leather seating, heated and ventilated front seats, a B&O sound system, and the hands-free power liftgate. The 3.5L V6 makes 375 horsepower and 470 lb-ft of torque, routed through a ten-speed automatic and four-wheel drive; it tows confidently and returns 18 mpg combined. The Limited MAX comes with a 3.31 rear axle as standard, which helps highway fuel economy, but you'll want the optional 3.73 axle if you regularly tow near the max rating.
