Miles Overview
The 1996 Bronco is Ford's full-size two-door SUV, the one with the removable top that turns it into an oversized Jeep. It's a torquey, old-school truck that pulls hard and tows with authority, but the ride is bouncy and the steering is vague. Inside, the cabin is genuinely roomy for five, with a big cargo area behind the rear seat and a top that comes off for open-air driving. Owners mention rust around the wheel arches and tailgate, and the plastic interior trim can be hard to find and pricey. The Eddie Bauer adds leather seats, a premium sound system, and two-tone paint over the base Bronco, making it the plusher choice for daily driving. With the optional 5.8L V8 making 205 horsepower and four-wheel drive, this Bronco lugs trailers and climbs trails without breaking a sweat, though you'll see 12 mpg combined at the pump.
