Miles Overview
The 2024 Bronco is Ford's dedicated off-road SUV, offered in two-door and four-door forms with a removable roof and doors. It squares off against the Jeep Wrangler and the Toyota 4Runner, with the Raptor trim pushing toward desert-racer territory. On pavement the Bronco feels truck-like and a bit bouncy, but its steering is direct and the brakes are strong. The ride is firm and the cabin is noisy at highway speeds, the price of its removable panels and off-road focus. The interior is functional and rugged, with washable surfaces on many trims and plenty of tie-downs for gear. The Black Diamond sits above the Big Bend and Outer Banks trims, adding steel bumpers, rock rails, and heavy-duty bash plates for serious off-road use. Its 2.7L V6 pairs with a seven-speed manual and four-wheel drive, giving it low-speed crawling ability and a broad torque band for trail work. The Black Diamond comes with marine-grade vinyl seats and rubberized flooring, so you can hose out the cabin after a muddy day.
