Miles Overview
The 2026 Escape is Ford's compact crossover, slotting between the smaller EcoSport and the mid-size Edge. The Escape drives with a composed, car-like feel, and the ST-Line trims sharpen the steering for a sportier response. Inside, the cabin offers a straightforward layout with a large touchscreen and comfortable seating for five. The Escape has a generally solid reliability record, though some owners have reported issues with the EcoBoost engines and automatic transmissions. The ST-Line Elite adds the 2.0L engine, sport-tuned suspension, and 19-inch wheels over the ST-Line Select, while the Platinum focuses on luxury instead of sporty looks. Its 2.0L I4 makes 250 horsepower and 280 lb-ft of torque, paired with an eight-speed automatic and all-wheel drive, good for 26 mpg combined. The sport-tuned suspension firms up the ride for sharper cornering, but you'll feel bumps more than in the standard Escape.
