2025 Ford Escape Platinum

The 2025 Ford Escape is a compact SUV that slots between the smaller EcoSport and the larger Edge in Ford's crossover lineup. It competes with the Honda CR-V, Toyota RAV4, and Nissan Rogue in the ever-popular compact crossover segment. The Escape drives with a light, agile feel that makes it easy to maneuver around town, and its steering is nicely weighted. Inside, the cabin is roomy for the class, with comfortable front seats and a cargo area that expands when you fold the rear seats. Under the hood, this Platinum uses the hybrid 2.5L I4 with 192 horsepower and 280 lb-ft of torque, sending power through an eCVT to all-wheel drive for an EPA-rated 39 mpg combined. The Platinum's optional Premium Technology Package adds a B&O 10-speaker audio system, HD Radio, and quilted seat inserts, but even without it you get the 13.2-inch SYNC 4 touchscreen and a wireless charging pad as standard.
