Miles Overview
The 2016 Ford Escape is a compact crossover that slots between the EcoSport and Edge, competing with the Honda CR-V, Toyota RAV4, and Chevrolet Equinox. The Escape drives with a car-like feel, its quick steering and tidy dimensions making it nimble in tight spots and on winding roads. Its cabin offers generous headroom and legroom, even for tall drivers, and the rear seats fold flat to open up a sizable cargo bay. SYNC infotainment with voice control is standard, and higher trims add a crisp touchscreen, navigation, and blind-spot monitoring. Paired with the six-speed automatic and all-wheel drive, this Escape feels eager off the line and planted in rain or light snow, though it returns 23 mpg combined. This trim unlocks the optional SE Appearance Package with unique 18-inch wheels and a sportier grille, giving it a sharper look than the standard SE.
