Miles Overview
The Escape is Ford's compact SUV, a practical choice for city driving and weekend trips. It feels light on its feet around town, and the steering is responsive enough to make parking easy. The cabin offers plenty of storage, and the rear seats fold down to open up a generous cargo area. Some owners have noted electrical gremlins and a few safety recalls, so it's worth checking the service history. Step up to the Limited and you get leather upholstery and a power driver's seat before you add any options, while the XLT keeps cloth and manual adjustments. With the optional 3.0L V6 and all-wheel drive, this Escape pulls strongly onto the highway and stays planted in slippery conditions, but the trade is 20 mpg combined.
