Miles Overview
The 2018 Ford Escape is a compact SUV that slots between the EcoSport and Edge, offering a roomy five-seat cabin in a tidy footprint. The Escape drives with the agility of a smaller car, making it easy to maneuver in tight spots while still feeling stable on the highway. The cabin offers generous headroom and legroom for tall drivers, and the cargo area swallows gear for a family trip or a workday haul. Available SYNC infotainment responds to voice commands for calls and music, and a rearview camera comes standard to help with parking. Leather-trimmed seats and the larger SYNC 3 touchscreen set the SEL apart from the SE below it. The 1.5L I4 makes 179 horsepower and pairs with a six-speed automatic, delivering 26 mpg combined in front-wheel drive. Heated front seats and a power liftgate come standard on the SEL, adding everyday convenience.
