Miles Overview
The Escape is Ford's compact SUV, a practical choice for city driving and weekend trips. It feels light on its feet around town, and the steering is responsive enough to make parking easy. The cabin offers plenty of storage, and the rear seats fold down to open up a generous cargo area. Some owners have noted electrical gremlins and a few safety recalls, so it's worth checking the service history. With the 3.0L V6 and six-speed automatic, this XLT feels genuinely quick around town, and it returns 21 mpg combined. This front-wheel-drive XLT is lighter than the AWD version, so it handles a bit more eagerly on dry pavement.
