Miles Overview
The 2009 Escape is Ford's compact SUV, the one you'd cross-shop with a Honda CR-V or Toyota RAV4. It handles confidently in snow and ice, and the cabin stays quiet on the highway. The rear seat folds easily to open up room for dogs or cargo, and there's surprising storage for a small SUV. Some owners mention electrical gremlins like Bluetooth glitches and a sticky door latch, so it's worth a close look. Stepping up to the Limited gets you leather upholstery, a six-disc CD changer, and the option of a V6 that the base XLS doesn't offer. This Limited pairs a 3.0L V6 making 240 horsepower with a automatic transmission and front-wheel drive, giving it enough grunt to merge onto the highway without drama.
