Miles Overview
The 2013 Explorer is Ford's three-row family SUV, the one you cross-shop with the Highlander and Pilot when you need room for seven. It drives with a planted, confident feel, and the available AWD handles snow and gravel without drama. The cabin is genuinely roomy, with a third row that folds flat to swallow luggage, golf clubs, or even a full-size door. The SYNC infotainment is a highlight, though a few owners have had the screen glitch and need a warranty fix. The Base trim skips some luxuries of the Limited and XLT, but it still gives you a 3.5L V6 and seating for seven at a lower starting price.
