Miles Overview
The E-450 is Ford's cutaway chassis for commercial and recreational builds, the platform behind many shuttle buses and motorhomes. It's a workhorse that's happiest hauling heavy loads, with a sturdy frame and steering that's honest about its size. You get a bare cab and a flat frame behind it, so it's really about what you build on top, whether that's a box or a bus body. The E-450 is the heavier-duty version of Ford's cutaway chassis, stepping up from the E-350 with a higher GVWR for bigger builds. Its 7.3L V8 and automatic transmission are tuned for low-end grunt, and the rear-wheel-drive layout keeps things simple and stout. The bare frame behind the cab is yours to spec, so you can tailor it for anything from a shuttle bus to a custom camper.
