Miles Overview
The 2026 Ford Transit is the workhorse van of the Blue Oval lineup, offered in cargo and passenger configurations with multiple roof heights and wheelbases. It squares off against the Ram ProMaster and Mercedes-Benz Sprinter, though the Transit's car-like driving manners give it an edge in daily use. The Transit steers and brakes like a much smaller vehicle, making it easy to maneuver in tight alleys and crowded job sites. The ride is firm when unladen, but that stiffness pays off with stable highway cruising and confident handling when the van is loaded. With multiple roof heights and lengths, the Transit can swallow everything from drywall to full pallets, and the rear doors open wide for easy loading. The XL is the base Transit, but it still comes with Ford Co-Pilot360, a 12-inch touchscreen, and wireless Apple CarPlay. The 3.5L V6 and automatic transmission send power to all four wheels through all-wheel drive, giving you traction on slippery job sites.
