Miles Overview
The Transit is Ford's full-size van, the one you see hauling cargo and people for work fleets and camper conversions alike. It drives like a big van, with a commanding view over traffic and a ride that's more about stability than sportiness. Inside, the cabin is plain and functional, with durable materials and plenty of room for a driver and a passenger. Cargo space is the Transit's reason to exist, with tall roofs and long wheelbases that swallow pallets and shelving. The XLT is the mid-grade Transit, with more standard features than the base XL but still a practical choice for fleet and conversion buyers. It uses a 3.7L V6 making 275 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque, paired with a six-speed automatic that shifts smoothly under load.
