Miles Overview
The 1997 Mustang is Ford's rear-wheel-drive pony car, offered as a coupe or convertible and aimed squarely at buyers who want a classic American muscle car with a modern edge. Drivers love the Mustang's punchy acceleration and the way it hunkers down on the road, making every merge and pass feel effortless and fun. The steering is direct and the chassis feels lively, so you can hustle it through corners with confidence, though the ride is firm and the car can be twitchy in slick conditions. Inside, the cabin is snug but functional, with a back seat that's really only for occasional use and a trunk that handles everyday errands but not much more. Stepping up to the GT gets you the 4.6L V8 over the base V6, giving you a proper muscle-car punch and a deeper exhaust note that the standard car can't match.
