Miles Overview
The Taurus is Ford's full-size sedan, the one you cross-shop with the Impala and Charger if you want a big, comfortable cruiser. The Taurus feels heavy and substantial on the road, with a smooth ride that soaks up highway miles easily. The cabin is roomy up front, and the trunk is genuinely huge, but rear-seat space is tighter than the exterior suggests. SYNC with voice control is standard, and higher trims add a touchscreen, navigation, and a Sony sound system. The Police trim skips the leather and heated seats of the Limited to focus on durability and low maintenance, saving you thousands. Its 3.5L V6 makes 288 horsepower and pairs with an automatic transmission and front-wheel drive, which is plenty for patrol duty but not as quick as the SHO. Expect a firm ride and heavy-duty cooling that lets this Taurus run all day without complaint, even in hot weather.
