Miles Overview
The 2013 Taurus is Ford's full-size sedan, a roomy alternative to the Accord and Camry if you want more space. The Taurus feels substantial on the road, with a smooth ride that soaks up highway miles easily. Inside, the cabin is genuinely spacious, with plenty of legroom up front and a trunk that swallows luggage for road trips. Owners report few problems, though some mention minor trim peeling and occasional electrical quirks as the car ages. The Police trim strips out luxury items for durability, so you get vinyl rear seats and a column shifter instead of the Limited's leather and console. It uses the same 3.5L V6 as the SEL, making 288 horsepower, and with front-wheel drive it returns 22 mpg combined. This trim includes heavy-duty cooling and a beefier alternator, so it's built to handle long idling and pursuit driving without complaint.
