Miles Overview
The 2010 Taurus is Ford's full-size sedan, the one you cross-shop with the Toyota Avalon and Chevrolet Impala. It drives with a solid, planted feel, and the SHO trim brings serious punch that surprises people. The ride is smooth and quiet on the highway, and the front seats are wide and supportive for long trips. The cabin is roomy, with a huge trunk that swallows luggage, though the rear seat is a bit tight for tall passengers. That engine works with the six-speed automatic and all-wheel drive, so it hooks up hard from a stop and laughs at rain; fuel economy is 20 mpg combined, which is the price of playing.
