Miles Overview
The Taurus is Ford's full-size sedan, the one you cross-shop with the Impala and Charger if you want a big, comfortable cruiser. The Taurus feels heavy and substantial on the road, with a smooth ride that soaks up highway miles easily. The cabin is roomy up front, and the trunk is genuinely huge, but rear-seat space is tighter than the exterior suggests. SYNC with voice control is standard, and higher trims add a touchscreen, navigation, and a Sony sound system. The SHO adds the high-output 3.5L V6 and all-wheel drive over the Limited, plus sport-tuned suspension and unique interior trim. Its 3.5L V6 makes 365 horsepower and 350 lb-ft of torque, routed through a six-speed automatic and all-wheel drive that put the power down confidently. The SHO's standard all-wheel drive and sport suspension give it a planted feel through corners, though the ride is firmer than the regular Taurus.
